Employment Type: Full-Time
Location: Remote

About the Role

Are you a strong SDR or BDR who is ready for the next step in your sales career?

We are looking for a results-driven Sales Development Representative to join a fast-growing healthcare technology company. This role is designed for someone who has developed solid sales fundamentals and wants the opportunity to progress beyond lead qualification and appointment setting into owning a pipeline and closing deals.

Unlike traditional outbound SDR positions, this role focuses primarily on inbound prospects. You will engage people who have expressed interest, understand their needs, qualify opportunities, and help move prospects through the sales process.

Initially, you will work closely with an existing sales team, supporting prospect qualification, follow-up, and opportunity management. As you demonstrate strong execution and develop product knowledge, you will gradually take ownership of sales conversations and closing responsibilities.

We’re looking for someone who is competitive, organized, coachable, and motivated by the opportunity to grow into a more complete sales professional.

What You’ll Do

Lead Qualification & Sales Development

  • Respond to inbound leads and engage prospects through phone and video conversations.
  • Qualify prospects by understanding their needs, challenges, and potential fit.
  • Ask relevant discovery questions to uncover pain points and identify opportunities.
  • Determine whether prospects are ready to advance through the sales process.
  • Communicate the company’s value proposition clearly and professionally.
  • Schedule sales conversations and coordinate handoffs to existing sales representatives.
  • Help maintain a consistent flow of qualified opportunities for the sales team.

Follow-Up & Opportunity Advancement

  • Maintain consistent follow-up with prospects who have expressed interest.
  • Re-engage leads that have gone quiet or need additional information.
  • Track prospect interactions, outstanding questions, and next steps.
  • Identify barriers preventing opportunities from progressing.
  • Help prospects move forward by addressing initial concerns and coordinating appropriate follow-ups.
  • Manage competing priorities while maintaining responsiveness across a high volume of leads.
  • Support sales representatives when inbound demand exceeds available capacity.

CRM & Performance Management

  • Maintain accurate CRM records and document all relevant prospect interactions.
  • Track calls, follow-ups, qualification outcomes, and opportunity status.
  • Ensure every active prospect has a documented next step.
  • Monitor activity levels and performance against sales KPIs.
  • Keep pipeline information accurate and accessible to the broader sales team.
  • Use performance feedback and sales metrics to improve productivity and conversion.
  • Maintain strong organization and accountability across daily sales activities.

Progression Into Closing

As you gain experience and demonstrate readiness, you will progressively assume more ownership of the sales process.

This may include:

  • Conducting discovery and sales calls independently.
  • Presenting solutions based on identified customer needs.
  • Handling objections and addressing prospect concerns.
  • Managing qualified opportunities from initial conversation through decision.
  • Owning an individual pipeline and maintaining accurate forecasts.
  • Closing customers and working toward agreed sales targets.

The goal is to develop into a sales professional who can independently manage opportunities and contribute directly to revenue growth.

What We’re Looking For

Must-Haves

  • At least 1–3+ years of experience in sales development, business development, inside sales, or a comparable customer-facing sales role.
  • Demonstrated experience engaging prospects and supporting a sales process.
  • Experience working in a high-volume environment with frequent calls or prospect interactions.
  • Excellent spoken and written English.
  • Strong phone presence and the ability to communicate professionally.
  • Experience qualifying prospects, identifying customer needs, or conducting discovery conversations.
  • Consistent follow-up habits and strong organizational skills.
  • Experience working toward measurable sales targets, quotas, or KPIs.
  • Familiarity with CRM systems and maintaining accurate sales records.
  • Ability to learn a new product quickly and explain its value to prospects.
  • Self-motivated, competitive, coachable, and comfortable receiving feedback.
  • Interest in progressing from sales development into a closing role.
  • Based in the United States and available during U.S. business hours.

Strong Plus

  • Consistent performance as an SDR or BDR.
  • Experience working with inbound leads.
  • Experience conducting discovery calls and qualifying opportunities.
  • Experience advancing opportunities or participating in deal closing.
  • SaaS or technology-enabled services experience.
  • Experience selling to SMB customers.
  • Healthcare technology sales experience.
  • Experience in high-velocity sales environments with short sales cycles.
  • Demonstrated quota attainment or strong conversion performance.

You do not need to have been a full-cycle Account Executive to be considered. We are interested in sales professionals who already have strong fundamentals and are ready to take on greater responsibility.

Working Style

You should be someone who takes ownership of your pipeline, follows through on commitments, and understands the importance of consistent prospect engagement.

You should be comfortable working with measurable targets, managing competing priorities, and adapting quickly as lead volume changes. You should also be receptive to coaching and willing to continuously improve your sales approach.

This role is particularly suited to someone who enjoys the prospecting and qualification stages of sales but wants more exposure to discovery, objection handling, opportunity ownership, and closing.

We value initiative, persistence, accountability, and a genuine desire to develop professionally.

What Success Looks Like

Initially, success means consistently qualifying inbound leads, maintaining accurate CRM records, following up with prospects, and advancing opportunities for the sales team.

Over time, success means taking ownership of your pipeline, conducting effective sales conversations, handling objections confidently, and closing customers against agreed targets.

If you’re an ambitious SDR or BDR who wants to build on your existing experience and develop into a closer, this is an opportunity to take that next step.
