  • Will my resume be stored or shared?
    No. Your resume file is read into memory, scored, and discarded. Nothing is written to disk on our servers, nothing is shared with third parties, and nothing is used to train models.
  • What ATS systems does this check against?
    The checker mirrors the parsing rules used by the major modern ATS platforms — Workday, Greenhouse, Lever, Taleo, and iCIMS. We flag the formatting patterns (multi-column layouts, embedded tables, exotic fonts, image-only contact info) that trip those parsers up most often.
  • How accurate is the AI score?
    The 0-to-100 score is composed of six rule-based and AI-graded categories. The deterministic checks (formatting, completeness, length, sections) are essentially exact. The AI-graded checks (impact, clarity, remote-readiness) reflect the same criteria experienced recruiters use, calibrated against thousands of real resumes. It is a strong directional signal — not a hiring decision.
  • What file formats can I upload?
    PDF and DOCX up to 5 MB. PDF works best because what you see is what the ATS sees. Avoid scanned-image PDFs — those parse poorly everywhere, including with our checker.
  • Why does targeting a specific role improve the score?
    Optional, but providing a target role (e.g. "Senior React Engineer, Remote Customer Success Manager") sharpens the Skills Coverage and Content & Impact scores. We compare your resume against the keyword and seniority signals that ATS keyword filters and recruiters look for in that exact role.
  • What's the Remote-Readiness score about?
    It is unique to RemoWork. We score whether your resume signals competence in distributed-team work — explicit async-collaboration tools (Slack, Loom, Notion, Linear), written-first cultural cues, time-zone clarity, and outcome ownership across asynchronous handoffs. Most resumes that read well on paper still miss this entirely.
