Job description

Evaluating the quality of translations for Catalan projects and ensuring the translation accurately reflects the source text.

Make sure that there are no grammer, spelling errors or typos.

Maintains consistency throughout the document and ensure that the client instruction is being followed.

Currently we are looking for Catalan reviewers for one of our growing accounts.

• Native in Catalan language
• Relevant degree: A degree in translation, linguistics, or a related field is mandatory.
• Professional experience: At least 3 years of experience in translation or localization, and 2 years’ experience as an editor or reviewer.
• Subject matter expertise: Familiarity with the specific subject matter of the content being reviewed (typically HR and Software UI) and awareness of the expectations within the industry are crucial.
• Computer literacy: Strong computer skills and ability to understand different technology requirements. This includes handling InQA, our online review tool, where most LQAs are performed.
• Knowledge of CAT tools: Experience with CAT tools such as Memoq, Trados Studio, Memsource...etc
• Attention to detail: A keen eye for detail, essential for identifying errors in grammar, punctuation, style, consistency, and accuracy.
• Adherence to guidelines: An LQA reviewer should meticulously check the information provided in the handoff package, which includes the instructions and reference material for
the review task.

How do freelance translators apply?
