Frequently asked questions

What does Argos Multilingual do?
It is a language services provider handling translation, localization, content creation, multimedia, and multilingual AI and LLM data solutions across life sciences, manufacturing, technology, finance, HR, and retail. It reports 400+ professionals and more than a billion words processed a year.
How do freelance translators apply?
Not through the standard careers page. Freelance translators and language service suppliers use a separate supplier application platform, while in-house staff roles go through the BambooHR careers portal. There is also a third route, a flexible data community for project-based work.
What is the Argos data community?
A flexible, project-based pool joined through its own portal, attached to the company's multilingual AI and LLM data solutions. It is the closest thing Argos offers to AI-training style project work, as distinct from traditional translation assignments.
Is remote work available?
Argos lists remote work flexibility among its benefits, and freelance and data-community work is inherently remote. In-house roles are spread across offices in Krakow, Dublin, San Francisco, Eindhoven, London, Kanagawa, and production sites in Argentina, so check each posting.
Who runs Argos Multilingual?
Alexander Ulichnowski has been CEO since 13 December 2023, having previously been COO, succeeding Veronique Ozkaya who led the company from 2020. Founder Kimon Fountoukidis, who started the company in Krakow in 1996, is now Chairman.
What does Argos pay?
Rates are not published for any track. In-house salaries vary by country. Freelance and data-community work is priced per word or per project and depends on your language pair, specialism, and volume, so agree rates directly before starting.
