About the Role
We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Project Assistant to support a speech data collection project focused on British English speakers. This role combines participant recruitment, audio review, onboarding support, and project coordination.
Key Responsibilities
Audio Review & Participant Verification
- Review short voice samples submitted by applicants
- Assess audio quality and verify alignment with project language requirements
- Help identify participants who meet the project's native British English speech criteria
- Flag potential issues such as non-compliant submissions, duplicate applications, or location inconsistencies
Participant Recruitment
- Source qualified participants through online communities, social media platforms, referral networks, university groups, and other outreach channels
- Develop creative strategies to attract eligible participants across the UK
- Maintain a positive and professional candidate experience throughout the recruitment process
Participant Onboarding & Support
- Guide approved participants through project requirements and recording procedures
- Assist with application setup and answer basic project-related questions
Data Tracking & Reporting
- Maintain accurate participant records using Google Sheets, Excel, or similar tools
- Provide regular updates and reports to the Project Manager
Required Qualifications
- Native-level English fluency with strong familiarity with British English speech patterns and accents
- Currently residing in and legally authorized to work in the UK
- Excellent listening skills and attention to detail
- Strong proficiency with Google Workspace and/or Microsoft Excel
- Effective written and verbal communication skills
Preferred
- Experience in participant recruitment, crowdsourcing, market research, community management, or AI data collection projects
- Familiarity with speech, audio, or language-related quality assurance processes
