Role Overview

Handshake is expanding into AI research and development and is building a network of expert AI Fellows.

As a Handshake AI Fellow Experience Specialist, you will support Fellows by managing payments, contracts, and technical inquiries while ensuring a seamless experience across the platform. This role blends customer support, operations, and technical troubleshooting in a fast-paced AI environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide support to AI Fellows via email, ticketing systems, and communication channels
  • Resolve issues related to:
  • Payments
  • Contracts
  • Platform usage and bugs
  • Troubleshoot technical workflows and build reports using tools like Google Sheets or BigQuery
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams (Ops, Finance, Product, Engineering)
  • Analyze recurring issues and contribute to process improvements
  • Maintain high standards for response time, resolution quality, and user satisfaction
  • Act as both a support specialist and consultant to Fellows

Work Breakdown

  • 80%: Ticket resolution and user support (75–100 tickets/day)
  • 10%: Process improvements and initiatives
  • 5%: Team meetings
  • 5%: Administrative tasks

Required Skills & Qualifications

  • 1–3 years experience in technical customer support or similar roles
  • Strong communication skills (written and verbal)
  • Ability to explain complex concepts clearly
  • High attention to detail and problem-solving ability
  • Strong organizational and time management skills
  • Ability to work in fast-paced, evolving environments
  • Comfortable working with technical tools and troubleshooting workflows

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with:
  • BigQuery
  • SQL
  • Google Sheets / Excel
  • Zendesk
  • Stripe or Hubstaff
  • Familiarity with AI/LLMs or AI training workflows
  • Experience in SaaS or startup environments
  • Cross-functional collaboration experience

Work Details

  • 40 hours/week, including weekends
  • 5-day work week with 2 flexible weekdays off
  • Fully remote (U.S. only)
  • 6-month contract with potential extension or conversion
