About the Opportunity
As a Test Center Operations Specialist, you will help make sure every student who wants to take the SAT has a place to test. You will recruit new test centers and help existing centers expand the seats they offer. In this role, you will:
New Test Center Recruitment (50%)
Conduct phone and email outreach to K-12 schools and higher education institutions in metro areas with limited testing capacity
Respond to inbound interest from prospective test centers, then schedule and lead introductory calls
Explain the benefits and requirements of becoming a test center, answering questions clearly and accurately
Guide prospects through the application process and hand off completed applications to the test center establishment team
Follow up with prospects who have not yet applied, using approved outreach scripts and templates
Capacity Expansion Outreach (30%)
Contact existing test centers in high-demand areas to request additional seats for upcoming test dates.
Carry out U.S.-based and international capacity outreach campaigns according to campaign plans and timelines
Track seat commitments and confirm updates with the appropriate teams
Pipeline Tracking and Team Coordination (20%)
Log outreach activity, prospect status, and seat commitments in Salesforce accurately and on time
Prepare regular reports on outreach activity and results for the recruiting team
Coordinate with fellow outreach staff to divide prospect lists and avoid duplicate contacts
Share feedback from prospects and suggest improvements to outreach scripts and materials
About You
Experience in outreach, recruitment, sales development, or customer relationship work, with 3-5 years of experience engaging and following up with external partners
Comfort with high-volume phone and email outreach, including first-time conversations with people you have not spoken with before
Clear, approachable communication skills and the ability to explain requirements and answer questions accurately
Strong organization and follow-through, with the ability to manage many prospects at different stages at once
Experience using Salesforce or another customer relationship management (CRM) tool to log activity and track progress. Salesforce experience is preferred
Attention to detail in record keeping and reporting
Experience working with schools, colleges, or other education organizations is a plus
A bachelor's degree or an equivalent combination of education and relevant experience
The ability to travel 1-3 times a year to College Board offices or on behalf of College Board business
All roles at College Board require:
A passion for expanding educational and career opportunities and mission-driven work
