Job description
We’re collecting short voice recordings to train voice-activation technology for hands-free devices. You record a few short wake-word phrases from home. The task is simple and quick.
What you’ll do
Record 4 short wake-word phrases (e.g., “Hey …” style commands)
Say each phrase 10 times: 5 times slowly and 5 times quickly
40 short recordings in total, with one phrase per recording
Leave about 1 second of silence before and after each phrase
Who can join
Native German speakers living in Germany
18 years or older
A quiet place to record, with no background noise, music or TV
A smartphone or computer with a working microphone
Payment
$15 USD for each participant whose recordings are approved
Recordings are checked for quality before approval
Time needed: About 15–20 minutes
Openings: 90 participants. Places are limited and filled on a first-come basis.
