Website Reviewers: 10-Second First Impressions Study
Job description
What We're Researching
We're running a paid study on first impressions of a new landing page design. Help us evaluate whether a company's core message is immediately clear to new visitors. Your feedback directly shapes how the page is structured and written to improve user understanding.
How It Works
You will complete a brief, unmoderated usability task from your computer or mobile device. We will show you the top section of a website for exactly ten seconds before hiding it. After the timer runs out, you will answer two quick questions about what the company does and whether you would sign up. The entire process takes just a few minutes to complete.
Who This Is For
We welcome general consumers and everyday internet users who are comfortable providing quick, honest feedback. No specialized technical background or industry expertise is required. Anyone with a keen eye for clarity and a few minutes to spare is a great fit for this task.
Responsibilities
- Review the top section of a webpage for a ten-second interval.
- Identify the core service or product offered by the company.
- Rate your likelihood of signing up based on your brief exposure to the site.
- Submit your honest, initial reactions without overthinking the design.
Requirements
- Comfortable providing quick, candid feedback on digital products.
- Ability to access a web link from a standard desktop or mobile browser.
- Attentive to detail during short, timed exercises.
- Fluent in reading and comprehending English web copy.
