Job description

Mercor is partnering with a leading AI research lab to build next-generation text-to-speech (TTS) systems capable of producing natural, expressive, and human-like voices.

This opportunity is seeking Latin America-based voice actors with native Latin American Spanish fluency and the ability to deliver neutral, internationally intelligible Spanish suitable for broad audiences.

Contributors will provide high-quality voice recordings used to train and evaluate advanced speech and voice AI systems.

Important Usage Notice

Voice recordings will be used exclusively for the client's internal CX AI Agent.

Recordings will not be:

  • Sold
  • Licensed
  • Reused for other products
  • Added to unrelated datasets

Key Responsibilities

  • Record high-quality voice samples across a variety of script types including:

    • Conversational
    • Narrative
    • Instructional

  • Deliver clear, natural, and expressive speech

  • Maintain consistency in:

    • Voice quality
    • Accent
    • Pronunciation
    • Delivery style

  • Follow recording requirements regarding:

    • Recording environment
    • Microphone setup
    • File formatting

  • Perform multiple takes when required using different:

    • Emotions
    • Emphasis levels
    • Delivery styles

Requirements

  • Native Latin American Spanish speaker currently located in Latin America

  • Ability to speak neutral, internationally intelligible Spanish without a strong regional accent

  • Professional experience in one or more of:

    • Voice acting
    • Dubbing
    • Narration
    • Podcasting
    • Broadcasting

  • Access to a professional or near-professional recording setup including:

    • Quality microphone
    • Quiet recording environment
    • Pop filter or equivalent equipment

  • Strong:

    • Intonation
    • Diction
    • Emotional range

  • Ability to follow scripts precisely while maintaining natural speech

  • Availability for approximately 5–10 hours per week during the project

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with:

    • Text-to-speech projects
    • Audiobooks
    • IVR systems
    • AI voice datasets

  • Familiarity with audio tools such as:

    • Audacity
    • Adobe Audition
    • Reaper

  • Ability to perform multiple vocal styles including:

Compensation

  • $50–150/hour
