Argos Multilingual is a language services provider offering translation, localization, content creation, multimedia services, and multilingual AI and LLM data solutions. It works across life sciences, medical and healthcare, technical and manufacturing, technology, financial services, HR and corporate communications, and retail and eCommerce, and reports more than 400 professionals, over 36 locations, and more than a billion words processed each year. The company was founded in 1996 in Krakow by Kimon Fountoukidis, at the time a translator working in Poland and now the company's Chairman, starting as a small translation vendor serving local businesses. It took angel financing from a Krakow investor in 2000, repositioned in 2002 from a Polish single-language vendor into a regional multi-language vendor specialising in Eastern European languages, opened its first American office in Chicago in 2007, and acquired the San Francisco-based localization firm Venga Global in 2021. Alexander Ulichnowski, previously Chief Operating Officer, was appointed Chief Executive Officer effective 13 December 2023, succeeding Veronique Ozkaya who had led the company from 2020. Its offices include Krakow, two in Dublin, San Francisco, Eindhoven, London, and Kanagawa in Japan, alongside production offices in Buenos Aires, Cordoba, and Rosario in Argentina. Note that the company's main site describes it as headquartered in Dublin while its careers site lists Krakow as headquarters; both are company-published, and Krakow remains its origin and a principal operational base. Argos lists remote work flexibility among its benefits.
