Job description

Legal & Government Policy Analyst (AI Training)

About the Role

AI is increasingly being used to navigate complex legal and regulatory landscapes — and it needs to get things right. We're looking for legal, policy, and government professionals to help evaluate and improve AI-generated content in these high-stakes domains. Your expertise will directly shape how AI handles legislation, case law, compliance, and public policy — making these systems more accurate, trustworthy, and reliable for the people who depend on them.

  • Organization: Alignerr
  • Type: Hourly Contract
  • Location: Remote
  • Commitment: 10–40 hours/week

What You'll Do

  • Review AI-generated legal analyses, policy summaries, and government-related content for factual accuracy and completeness
  • Evaluate the proper use of legal terminology, citations, and regulatory references
  • Identify factual errors, logical flaws, or misleading interpretations in AI outputs
  • Assess whether AI responses appropriately handle nuance across areas like legislation, case law, compliance, and public policy
  • Provide clear, structured written feedback to improve AI performance on legal and government topics
  • Work independently and asynchronously — entirely on your own schedule

Who You Are

  • Strong understanding of legal concepts, government processes, or public policy
  • Excellent reading comprehension and analytical skills in English
  • Sharp attention to detail — especially around precise language and factual claims
  • Clear, structured written communication
  • Comfortable evaluating content across diverse legal and regulatory topics
  • No prior AI experience required

Nice to Have

  • Background in law, political science, public administration, or a related field
  • Experience with legal research, compliance, legislation drafting, or government operations
  • Paralegal, legal assistant, or policy research experience
  • Familiarity with Brazilian, Latin American, or international regulatory frameworks and civil law systems

Why Join Us

  • Work on cutting-edge AI projects that directly shape how AI handles critical legal and government content
  • Fully remote and flexible — set your own hours and work when it suits you
  • Collaborate with top research labs and a global community of subject matter experts
  • Freelance perks: full autonomy, schedule flexibility, and meaningful real-world impact
  • Build expertise at the intersection of AI and law — a fast-growing and high-demand space
  • Potential for ongoing work and contract extension
