Legal Expert: AI Legal Reasoning Review (Policy & Regulatory Focus) About the Role What if you could use your legal expertise to make AI systems reason more like a good lawyer?
AI Training Jobs for Lawyers
This is a talent pool, not an open role. Applying adds you to a roster this employer draws on when work comes up. There may be no specific vacancy to fill right now, and being accepted does not guarantee an assignment.
Job description
Review model outputs against case law, draft tasks a model has to solve and build the rubrics labs grade legal reasoning with. Contracts, case law, and policy work, where a wrong answer costs something.
What you would do
- Grade model answers on contracts, case analysis and memos against your expertise.
- Write problems a model cannot fake: jurisdiction-specific traps, conflicting authority.
- Define what correct legal reasoning looks like so a model can be scored against it.
- Probe where legal models give dangerously wrong answers.
Who we look for
- A law degree: JD, LLM or LLB.
- Bar admission or practice experience is a plus; not every task type needs it.
- Say where you are licensed when you apply: projects are often scoped to one jurisdiction.
Questions
Before you apply.
Is legal AI training work legit?
rustLabs is a registered company. Accepted work is paid at the project's rate through our payout provider, after identity verification and a tax form. We match experts when legal projects open and do not promise hours; no legitimate platform should.
Do I need prior AI experience?
No. Legal judgment is the skill. Our guides cover the tooling, and your first tasks are matched to your experience.
How much can I earn?
Each role states its rate before you apply. Earnings depend on the projects you are matched to and the work you complete.
