College Admissions Mentor

Crimson Education

Academic Coach Full-time
United States March 18, 2026

Job description

Want to revolutionize the future of education and do meaningful work that transforms future generations’ lives?

AdmitYogi is a college admissions platform built by Crimson Education, the world's leading college admissions consultancy. Founded in 2013, Crimson has helped students secure over 1,330 Ivy League offers and 2,140 places at US Top 15 universities, with students 7x more likely to gain Ivy League admission than their peers.

The Role

Are you a current or incoming student at a Top 10 US university? Want flexible, remote work while helping high school students get into their dream schools?

AdmitYogi is looking for college admissions mentors to work one-on-one with students in grades 8–12. You’ll support students at every stage: from building a strong profile years before they apply, through to essays, activities lists and everything else in their final applications.

What are the main responsibilities for this role?

The role has two parts, and you may work with students in either or both:

  • Profile building (grades 8–11): regular 30-minute video sessions, every two weeks, helping younger students plan their academics and testing, explore majors and schools, and build their extracurriculars. You’ll guide each student through a personalised roadmap and keep in touch with them between sessions.
  • Application support (senior year): reviewing and giving feedback on application materials, including personal statements, supplemental essays, activities lists and recommendation letter memos. This work is mostly asynchronous, inside the AdmitYogi platform, with occasional live sessions such as interview practice.

The role fits around your own schedule. That said, students rely on timely feedback and consistent support, so reliability is essential. You should be able to return reviews within 24-48 hours and turn up to every scheduled session.

What skills and experience are required?

  • Current or incoming student at a Top 10 US university
  • Someone who has been through the US college admissions process and understands what it takes
  • Fast, reliable and disciplined. Students expect feedback within 24-48 hours, and you need to deliver consistently
  • Strong writer and communicator
  • Comfortable building rapport with younger students and their families over video calls

What you get

  • Competitive hourly pay
  • Fully remote work
  • Flexible schedule that fits around your studies
  • The opportunity to help students navigate one of the most stressful and important stages of their academic journey, and to see the difference you make over months and years, not just one application season

If you're passionate about growing in a fast-paced, collaborative environment and want to work with cutting-edge technology, then we'd love to hear from you!
