Role Overview
We are seeking a skilled Tamil Audio Transcriber to convert conversational speech into accurate, well-formatted written transcripts. Recordings may include natural conversations, rapid speech, regional dialects, slang, overlapping speakers, and English–Tamil code-switching.
This remote contract opportunity is ideal for detail-oriented language professionals who can accurately capture natural spoken Tamil while maintaining high transcription quality.
Key Responsibilities
Transcribe Audio Recordings
- Convert Tamil audio recordings into accurate written transcripts.
- Faithfully represent natural speech and conversational flow.
Capture Natural Language
- Accurately transcribe:
- Regional dialects
- Everyday expressions
- Slang
- English–Tamil code-switching
- Overlapping speakers
Review Audio Quality
- Identify and flag unclear or unintelligible audio segments.
- Ensure transcripts accurately reflect the source audio.
Follow Project Standards
- Adhere to transcription guidelines and formatting requirements.
- Deliver accurate, high-quality work within project timelines.
Required Qualifications
Native-level proficiency in spoken and written Tamil.
Strong understanding of Tamil regional dialects and everyday conversational language.
Excellent listening skills, including the ability to understand speech in noisy or challenging audio.
Exceptional attention to detail.
