Life at TELUS International

Qualifications

For most AI Community roles, a High School Diploma or GED is preferred, though not strictly required if a candidate demonstrates exceptional skills. Strong attention to detail and the ability to meticulously follow precise guidelines are crucial. Proficiency in English (written and verbal) is a basic requirement, and for region-specific roles, familiarity with the local language and cultural nuances is essential. Candidates need a reliable internet connection, a desktop or laptop computer, and a smartphone (Android 4.2+ or iPhone iOS 10.0+). Prior experience in data annotation is a plus but often not required, as training materials and guidelines are provided. For Internet Assessor roles, at least 12 months of active Gmail usage and daily social media engagement may be required. For Media Search Analyst roles, an Apple ID and experience with Apple products may be needed. The hiring process includes an application, open-book qualification assessments, and identity verification. Cultural awareness is valued — some roles require having lived in a specific country for several consecutive years to understand local trends. A basic understanding of AI or machine learning concepts is advantageous but not mandatory.
