What You’ll Do
- Review pre-labeled audio segmentation and transcription for accuracy and correctness.
- Follow project guidelines to ensure high-quality results.
- Contribute to improving AI speech recognition models.
Project Breakdown
Segmentation
Review and refine speech boundaries so that each interval reflects a coherent intonational phrase based on prosodic annotation conventions.
Transcription
Create accurate orthographic transcriptions that faithfully capture spontaneous speech production, including morphosyntactic variants, overlaps, mimicry, and reduced forms.
Requirements
- Fluent, Native or near-native proficiency in US English.
- Prior experience with transcription and familiarity with ADAP, or similar speech annotation tools.
- Strong understanding of phonetics, phonology, and prosodic annotation.
- Ability to recognize intonational phrases, pitch accents, and prosodic boundaries.
- Keen ear for spontaneous conversational speech, including disfluencies and overlaps.
- Strong attention to detail and consistency in transcription conventions.
- Background in segmentation and transcription
Payment Details
Compensation for Project Calendula is based on the audio hour rate.
