Job description

Clinical Business Intelligence Manager (AI Training)

About the Role

What if your expertise in clinical analytics could directly shape how AI understands and interprets healthcare data — at scale, across the world's most advanced AI research projects?

We're looking for an experienced Clinical Business Intelligence Manager to lead analytics initiatives that bridge clinical insight and operational performance. You'll guide BI teams in transforming complex healthcare datasets into trusted, decision-ready dashboards and reports — while contributing your domain expertise to cutting-edge AI training projects.

This is a fully remote, flexible contract role built for senior healthcare analytics professionals who want meaningful, high-impact work on their own terms.

  • Organization: Alignerr
  • Type: Hourly Contract
  • Location: Remote
  • Commitment: 10–40 hours/week

What You'll Do

  • Lead and mentor a business intelligence team in designing and delivering dashboards, reports, and analytics that support clinical and operational decision-making
  • Maintain and continuously optimize BI infrastructure — including data models, SQL queries, and reporting pipelines — ensuring accuracy, reliability, and performance
  • Analyze clinical, operational, and performance data to surface meaningful trends that inform leadership decisions and improve care delivery
  • Translate complex healthcare data into clear, actionable insights for both technical and non-technical stakeholders
  • Apply your clinical domain expertise to AI training tasks — including data evaluation, quality assessment, and annotation workflows
  • Work independently and asynchronously, managing your own output and schedule with full autonomy

Who You Are

  • Deeply experienced in healthcare or clinical analytics, business intelligence, or health data management
  • Proven ability to design, build, and manage BI systems — including dashboards, reporting pipelines, and structured data models
  • Comfortable working with clinical, operational, and administrative datasets in regulated healthcare environments
  • Strong communicator who can translate technical findings into meaningful narratives for clinical and operational leaders
  • Detail-oriented and systematic — you build things right and maintain high standards across everything you deliver
  • Self-directed and reliable when working remotely without day-to-day oversight

Nice to Have

  • Prior experience with data annotation, data quality assurance, or AI evaluation systems
  • Familiarity with healthcare interoperability standards (HL7, FHIR, etc.)
  • Background working with EHR systems or population health platforms
  • Experience in a consulting or contract capacity across multiple healthcare organizations

Why Join Us

  • Work on cutting-edge AI projects alongside the world's leading AI research labs
  • Fully remote and flexible — structure your work around your life, not the other way around
  • Freelance autonomy with the substance of genuinely meaningful, high-stakes work
  • Exposure to advanced large language models and how they're trained and evaluated
  • Put your clinical expertise to work in a domain that's actively shaping the future of AI in healthcare
  • Potential for ongoing work and contract extension as new projects launch
