Job description

Clinical Business Intelligence Manager (AI Training)

About the Role

What if your expertise in clinical analytics could directly influence how AI understands and reasons about healthcare data? We're looking for an experienced Clinical Business Intelligence Manager to lead analytics efforts that connect clinical, operational, and performance data to real-world healthcare decisions — and help train the next generation of AI models in the process.

This is a fully remote, flexible contract role built for seasoned healthcare analytics professionals who want to do meaningful, intellectually stimulating work on their own terms.

  • Organization: Alignerr
  • Type: Hourly Contract
  • Location: Remote
  • Commitment: 10–40 hours/week

What You'll Do

  • Lead and mentor a business intelligence team in building dashboards, reports, and analytics that support clinical and operational decision-making
  • Design, maintain, and optimize BI infrastructure — including data models, SQL queries, and reporting pipelines — ensuring accuracy, reliability, and performance
  • Analyze clinical, operational, and performance datasets to uncover meaningful trends and surface insights that inform leadership decisions
  • Translate complex healthcare data into clear, actionable intelligence that improves care delivery and organizational efficiency
  • Apply your domain expertise to AI training tasks — evaluating, annotating, and improving AI-generated outputs in clinical and healthcare contexts

Who You Are

  • Experienced healthcare or clinical analytics professional with a strong track record in BI, data management, or health informatics
  • Proven ability to design and manage end-to-end BI systems — from data modeling and pipeline architecture to dashboards and executive reporting
  • Comfortable working with clinical, operational, and administrative datasets in regulated healthcare environments
  • Strong communicator who can translate complex data findings for both technical and non-technical audiences
  • Self-directed and reliable — you deliver quality work without needing constant oversight

Nice to Have

  • Prior experience with data annotation, data quality evaluation, or AI training workflows
  • Familiarity with EHR systems, healthcare interoperability standards (HL7, FHIR), or clinical data warehouses
  • Background in population health, value-based care, or healthcare performance management
  • Experience working with large language models or AI evaluation tools

Why Join Us

  • Work on cutting-edge AI projects alongside world-leading research labs
  • Fully remote and flexible — structure your hours around your life, not the other way around
  • Freelance autonomy with the substance of meaningful, expert-level work
  • Gain firsthand exposure to how advanced AI models are trained and evaluated
  • Contribute domain expertise that shapes how AI reasons about healthcare — at scale
  • Potential for ongoing work and contract extension as new projects launch
