Mental Health Practitioner – AI Career Guidance Evaluator

About the Role

What if your years of clinical experience could directly shape how AI supports mental health professionals navigating their careers? We're looking for experienced Mental Health Practitioners in the New York area to help train, evaluate, and improve next-generation AI systems — ensuring they deliver accurate, realistic, and genuinely useful career guidance to professionals at every stage of their journey.

This is a fully remote, flexible contract role built around your schedule. No AI background needed — just deep professional expertise and a commitment to quality.

  • Organization: Alignerr
  • Type: Hourly Contract
  • Location: Remote
  • Commitment: 10–40 hours/week

What You'll Do

  • Review career-related questions submitted by mental health professionals at different stages — from early-career clinicians to seasoned practitioners
  • Write high-quality "golden answers" that reflect expert-level career guidance rooted in real clinical experience
  • Develop objective evaluation rubrics used to assess the quality of AI-generated career advice
  • Identify inaccurate, unrealistic, or incomplete recommendations produced by AI systems
  • Contribute your real-world industry knowledge to strengthen AI career coaching capabilities
  • Work independently and asynchronously — entirely on your own schedule

Who You Are

  • Experienced as a Mental Health Practitioner, Therapist, Counselor, Psychologist, Social Worker, or related licensed professional
  • Strong understanding of mental health career paths, licensure requirements, and the realities of clinical practice in the US
  • Familiarity with New York State licensure processes and mental health career landscapes is a plus
  • Experience mentoring, supervising, or advising other professionals is highly valued
  • Excellent written communication skills — you can translate complex professional knowledge into clear, actionable guidance
  • Self-motivated and reliable when working independently

Nice to Have

  • Active professional license in New York or another US state
  • Supervisory or clinical training experience
  • Specialized certifications or areas of clinical practice
  • Experience training or mentoring early-career clinicians
  • Familiarity with AI tools or content evaluation platforms

Why Join Us

  • Help shape how AI systems support mental health professionals in their careers
  • Fully remote and flexible — work when and where it suits you
  • Contribute deep professional expertise to meaningful, cutting-edge AI projects
  • Freelance autonomy with the structure of task-based, intellectually engaging work
  • Potential for ongoing work and contract extension as new projects launch
