Versa Networks is an enterprise cybersecurity and networking company and one of the recognized leaders in SASE (Secure Access Service Edge), the category that converges networking and security into a single cloud-delivered service. Its platform brings together secure SD-WAN (connecting branch offices and remote sites), security service edge (SSE) capabilities like secure web gateway, CASB, and firewall-as-a-service, and zero-trust network access, all built on a common software foundation, the VOS (Versa Operating System). Enterprises across retail, hospitality, healthcare, finance, and government use Versa to connect and secure their sites, users, and applications, competing with the likes of Palo Alto Networks, Zscaler, Cisco, and Fortinet. Versa was founded in 2012 in Santa Clara, California, by brothers Apurva Mehta and Kumar Mehta, who came from Juniper Networks (Apurva as CTO and chief architect of the mobility business unit, Kumar as VP of engineering). Kelly Ahuja, a longtime Cisco executive, has been CEO since 2016. The company employs roughly 880 people, with a significant engineering presence in India (Bangalore) alongside its Santa Clara headquarters. It raised a $120M round led by BlackRock in 2022 (a mix of equity and debt, with Silicon Valley Bank participating) and has been a late-stage, pre-IPO unicorn.

Qualifications
Versa Networks hires across engineering (networking and routing, security, cloud and SaaS platform, distributed systems, kernel and dataplane, QA and automation, and a large India-based R&D organization), product management, technical marketing, plus heavy customer-facing technical roles: sales engineering and solutions architecture, professional services and deployment, and technical support (TAC) for enterprise networking and security. Deep networking and security expertise is central, experience with SD-WAN, SASE/SSE, routing and switching, firewalls, or cloud security, and relevant certifications (for example CCIE/CCNP, or security certs) are strong signals for engineering and SE roles.
