What is Apprentify?
Apprentify is a UK apprenticeship training provider specialising in digital and technology skills, covering digital marketing, IT and software, data, AI, sales, and leadership development. It delivers government-funded apprenticeship programmes alongside shorter AI training and upskilling courses, working with employers nationwide to recruit, train, and retain talent. The company was founded in 2018 by Jonathan Fitchew, who serves as Group CEO and had previously trained roughly 30,000 graduates over 25 years in an earlier business. It is headquartered in Wilmslow, Cheshire, employs around 250 people, and is the founding member of the Apprentify Group, which now comprises six specialist training brands and has grown through acquisitions including ioda. Its credentials are unusually strong for a training provider and can be checked independently. It was rated Outstanding by Ofsted, the UK government's education inspectorate, at its first ever inspection, placing it in the top 1.6 percent of independent learning providers nationally. It ranked 30th in The Sunday Times 100 list of Britain's fastest growing private companies, and reports growth from 200 apprentices in 2021 to around 10,000 people trained annually by 2025, while exceeding national targets on apprenticeship achievement rates. There are two distinct ways to work with Apprentify. It employs its own staff, and importantly its delivery teams of trainers, coaches, and assessors are based remotely across the UK, with only head office functions working from Wilmslow. Separately it recruits apprentices and places them with employer partners while delivering their training. Under the English apprenticeship system those are employed, waged roles funded through the apprenticeship levy and government co-investment, meaning the apprentice is paid rather than paying tuition. Note that everything here is UK-only, since government-funded apprenticeships carry residency and eligibility requirements.
Mission & values
Help employers find, train and keep digital and tech talent, and give people a paid route into those careers through apprenticeships.
Qualifications
Two separate things are on offer here and it matters which one applies to you. If you want a job at Apprentify itself, the genuinely useful detail is that its delivery teams are based remotely across the United Kingdom, so trainer, coach, tutor, and assessor roles are remote rather than office-bound, while head office functions such as finance, marketing, and operations run from the Wilmslow HQ in Cheshire. Delivery roles suit people with real industry experience in digital marketing, IT and software, data, AI, or sales who want to move into teaching and coaching, and relevant assessor or teaching qualifications help though providers frequently support you to gain them. Vacancies are advertised through a TeamTailor portal linked from its careers page. Stated benefits include career progression across the group's six brands, quarterly development days that bring the distributed team together, technology provided from day one, and a stated focus on mental and physical wellbeing. If instead you are looking for an apprenticeship, Apprentify recruits apprentices and places them with employer partners across digital and tech disciplines, delivering the training alongside the job. These are employed positions paying a wage, funded through the apprenticeship levy and government co-investment rather than charged to you as tuition, which is worth understanding since it makes an apprenticeship materially different from a paid bootcamp. Whether a specific placement is remote, hybrid, or on-site is set by the host employer rather than by Apprentify, so check each vacancy. The significant constraint on both routes is geography: this is UK-only, because government-funded apprenticeships carry residency and eligibility rules and the remote delivery roles are remote within the UK, not internationally.
