What is Akuity?

Akuity gives enterprises a commercially backed, managed platform for delivering software on Kubernetes, built by the people who created the technology it is based on. Its founders are co-creators of the open-source Argo Project, and Akuity's platform brings together Argo CD (GitOps-based continuous delivery), Kargo (promoting releases across stages and environments), and KubeVision (visibility into Kubernetes infrastructure), unifying how teams promote applications and infrastructure across Kubernetes, Terraform, virtual machines, and serverless environments, increasingly with AI assistance built in. Akuity was founded in 2021 in Sunnyvale, California, by Hong Wang (CEO), Jesse Suen (CTO), and Alexander Matyushentsev (Chief Architect), giving Argo CD dedicated commercial backing and a trusted enterprise vendor as it became foundational infrastructure at many companies. The company has raised $24.5 million in total, a $4.5 million seed round followed by a $20 million Series A led by Lead Edge Capital with Decibel Partners, and has surpassed 100 customers and 43 million deployments through its platform.

Qualifications

Akuity hires deeply technical roles around Kubernetes and cloud-native infrastructure. On the engineering side: software engineers working on Argo CD, Kargo, and KubeVision (Go and Kubernetes-ecosystem experience is central), platform and infrastructure engineers building the managed/enterprise layer, and security engineering. It also hires product management, developer relations (given its open-source roots and developer audience), technical writing, and customer-facing technical roles like solutions engineering and support.
