Role Overview

Mercor is seeking licensed US Pharmacists to support the development of next-generation clinical AI systems. In this fully remote contract role, you will apply your clinical pharmacy expertise to improve AI-powered prior authorization workflows by answering medication-related clinical questions, reviewing AI-generated responses, and ensuring they meet the highest standards of clinical accuracy, safety, and evidence-based practice.

This opportunity is ideal for experienced pharmacists with strong knowledge of medication management, prescribing guidelines, and clinical decision-making who are interested in advancing healthcare AI.

Key Responsibilities

Review Clinical AI Responses

  • Evaluate AI-generated responses for clinical accuracy, safety, clarity, completeness, and supporting evidence.
  • Correct inaccurate or incomplete responses.
  • Provide structured annotations and detailed written feedback.

Answer Medication-Related Questions

  • Respond to medication-related clinical questions using patient context, reference materials, and prescribing guidelines.
  • Apply evidence-based clinical reasoning to support medication decisions.
  • Ensure recommendations align with established clinical standards.

Support Quality and Patient Safety

  • Identify and escalate cases involving insufficient evidence, conflicting guidance, ambiguous clinical information, or patient safety concerns.
  • Apply project rubrics and quality standards consistently.
  • Participate in calibration sessions and incorporate quality feedback.

Required Qualifications

  • Active United States Pharmacist license (PharmD or equivalent).
  • Strong experience with:

- Medication management

- Pharmacy workflows

- Clinical decision-making

  • Excellent understanding of:

- Drug interactions

- Contraindications

- Prescribing guidelines

  • Strong written communication skills.
  • Excellent attention to detail.
  • Comfortable following structured annotation and evaluation guidelines.
  • Available to work 30–40 hours per week during the project.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with:

- Prior authorization

- Specialty pharmacy

- Managed care

- Medication access programs

  • Experience using electronic health record (EHR) systems such as:

- Epic

- Cerner

  • Experience in:

- Clinical quality assurance

- AI evaluation

- Clinical content review

- Healthcare data annotation

- 340B programs

- Medication assistance programs

Compensation

  • $70 per hour
  • Weekly payments via Stripe or Wise
