Role Overview

Mercor is hiring Sinhala Voice & QA Experts on behalf of a leading AI company to help build and evaluate next-generation AI-powered voice agents. In this role, you will conduct and review Sinhala-language voice conversations, assess AI-generated interactions for quality, and provide structured feedback to improve speech recognition and conversational AI performance.

This is a flexible remote contract opportunity for native or fluent Sinhala speakers based in Sri Lanka who have strong language skills and attention to detail.

Key Responsibilities

Conduct Voice Conversations

  • Make outbound calls in Sinhala using provided conversation scenarios.
  • Follow testing instructions accurately while maintaining natural speech.

Perform Quality Assurance

  • Review recorded Sinhala conversations for:
    • Accuracy
    • Tone
    • Clarity
    • Naturalness
    • Overall conversation quality
  • Evaluate conversations completed by other contributors.

Improve AI Voice Quality

  • Identify:
    • Linguistic errors
    • Pronunciation issues
    • Quality concerns
    • Inconsistent responses
  • Provide clear, structured written feedback to improve AI voice systems.

Team Collaboration

  • Participate in project check-ins as required.
  • Support ongoing testing and quality improvement efforts.

Required Qualifications

  • Native or fluent Sinhala speaker.
  • Currently based in Sri Lanka.
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • Excellent written communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Customer service experience.
  • Experience in data annotation, quality assurance, or AI evaluation projects.

Compensation
