Job description

Nursing Informatics Specialist (AI Training)

About the Role

We're looking for experienced nursing professionals to help evaluate and improve AI systems designed for clinical and healthcare environments. Your frontline nursing knowledge will directly shape how AI understands clinical workflows, EHR documentation, and patient care processes — making a real impact on the future of healthcare technology.

At Alignerr, we partner with the world's leading AI research teams and labs to build and train cutting-edge AI models. As a Nursing Informatics Specialist, you'll be the bridge between real-world clinical practice and the AI systems that are transforming healthcare.

  • Organization: Alignerr
  • Type: Hourly Contract
  • Location: Remote
  • Commitment: 10–40 hours/week

What You'll Do

  • Evaluate AI-generated clinical content, EHR workflows, and health informatics outputs for accuracy, safety, and real-world usability
  • Identify gaps, errors, or unrealistic assumptions in AI responses related to nursing practice and clinical documentation
  • Provide structured expert feedback that helps AI systems better reflect how nurses actually work
  • Review and assess clinical data scenarios, charting examples, and care coordination workflows
  • Work independently and asynchronously on your own schedule

Who You Are

  • Registered Nurse (RN) or equivalent clinical background with hands-on patient care experience
  • Familiar with EHR systems such as Epic, Cerner, or similar platforms
  • Strong understanding of clinical documentation workflows and nursing informatics principles
  • Detail-oriented with the ability to evaluate content systematically and provide clear written feedback
  • Comfortable working remotely and independently
  • No prior AI experience required — your clinical expertise is what matters

Nice to Have

  • Experience in clinical informatics, health IT, or nursing education
  • Background in data annotation, quality assurance, or evaluation workflows
  • Familiarity with healthcare data standards (HL7, FHIR, SNOMED, etc.)
  • Experience across multiple clinical settings or specialties

Why Join Us

  • Work on cutting-edge AI projects with top research labs and make a tangible impact on healthcare technology
  • Fully remote and flexible — work on your own schedule, wherever you are
  • Freelance perks: autonomy, variety, and the satisfaction of applying your clinical expertise in a new and meaningful way
  • Collaborate with a global network of healthcare and technology professionals
  • Potential for ongoing work and contract extension
