Remote (Global) $35 – $80/hr June 22, 2026

Job description

Nursing Informatics Specialist (AI Training)

About the Role

Your clinical knowledge is more valuable than you think — beyond the bedside. We're looking for Nursing Informatics Specialists to help evaluate and improve AI systems being trained on healthcare and clinical content. You'll apply your real-world nursing expertise to ensure AI understands clinical workflows, EHR documentation, and patient care processes the way nurses actually experience them.

This is a unique opportunity to shape the future of healthcare AI — without leaving your home.

  • Organization: Alignerr
  • Type: Hourly Contract
  • Location: Remote
  • Commitment: 10–40 hours/week

What You'll Do

  • Review and evaluate AI-generated clinical content, workflows, and documentation for accuracy and real-world applicability
  • Identify gaps, errors, or unsafe assumptions in how AI represents nursing practice and EHR systems
  • Translate frontline nursing knowledge into structured feedback that directly improves AI model quality
  • Assess clinical data scenarios and flag inaccuracies in how AI interprets or presents health information
  • Provide expert insight on EHR systems (such as Epic or Cerner) and clinical documentation standards
  • Work independently and asynchronously on your own schedule

Who You Are

  • Registered Nurse (RN) or equivalent clinical background with experience in informatics or health IT
  • Hands-on familiarity with EHR systems and clinical documentation workflows
  • Strong ability to analyze clinical scenarios and communicate findings clearly in writing
  • Detail-oriented with a commitment to accuracy and patient safety
  • Comfortable working independently on task-based assignments
  • No prior AI experience required — your clinical expertise is what matters

Nice to Have

  • Experience in clinical informatics, health IT implementation, or workflow optimization
  • Background in data annotation, quality assurance, or evaluation roles
  • Familiarity with AI tools or language model evaluation workflows
  • Specialty experience in areas such as critical care, med-surg, or perioperative nursing

Why Join Us

  • Work on cutting-edge AI projects with leading research labs and AI teams
  • Fully remote and flexible — work on your own schedule, 10–40 hours/week
  • Freelance perks: autonomy, variety, and global collaboration
  • Apply your nursing expertise in a brand-new way beyond traditional clinical settings
  • Contribute to meaningful work that improves how AI serves healthcare professionals and patients
  • Potential for ongoing work and contract extension
