Role Overview

Mercor is hiring native Spanish speakers to help capture and evaluate real, natural voice interactions with a next-generation AI assistant in partnership with a leading AI research lab. You will use your own voice to complete everyday tasks, evaluate the AI's responses, and provide structured feedback to improve multilingual AI systems.

This is a remote contract opportunity for bilingual Spanish-English professionals who are comfortable using productivity applications and following structured evaluation workflows.

Key Responsibilities

Test Voice-Based AI

  • Use your voice to compose messages, emails, notes, and other everyday content.
  • Ask the AI assistant to perform tasks such as:
    • Generating images
    • Formatting documents
    • Applying spreadsheet formulas
    • Summarizing documents

Review & Evaluate AI Responses

  • Record accurate transcripts of spoken prompts.
  • Produce cleaned and corrected transcripts.
  • Rate AI responses for quality, accuracy, and usefulness.
  • Log task data in structured tracking sheets.
  • Upload recordings to shared storage.

Maintain Data Quality

  • Follow detailed project instructions and quality standards.
  • Perform accurate data entry and self-review.
  • Ensure consistent documentation throughout the project.

Required Qualifications

  • Native or near-native proficiency in Spanish (raised in Spain preferred).

  • Ability to understand and follow instructions in English.

  • Must own a Mac with:

    • Apple Silicon (M1, M2, or M3)
    • macOS Sequoia 15.0 or newer

  • Comfortable using:

    • Email
    • Messaging apps
    • Documents
    • Spreadsheets
    • Web browsers

  • Strong attention to detail and structured data entry skills.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Previous experience with AI evaluation, data annotation, transcription, localization, or language quality assurance.
