Role Type: Contractor
Location: Remote
micro1 is engaging AI Image & Video Evaluation Specialists to contribute expertise in visual content evaluation for a pioneering generative AI project. In this role, you'll apply your expertise to help train next-generation AI systems. Your work will shape how models learn, reason, and perform through high-quality, real-world input. No prior experience in AI is required — your domain knowledge is what matters.
Scope of Work
- Generate images and videos using identical prompts across multiple generative AI platforms (e.g., Grok Imagine, ChatGPT/Sora, Gemini, and others).
- Conduct structured, side-by-side comparative analysis of AI-generated images and videos, focusing on realism, composition, color, lighting, anatomy, text rendering, coherence, and overall visual quality.
- Identify and document strengths, weaknesses, artifacts, and patterns in model outputs with precision and clarity.
- Benchmark and compare new model releases against prior versions to track improvements and detect regressions.
- Articulate detailed visual assessments and technical feedback in clear written reports and evaluation forms.
- Follow rigorous evaluation guidelines to ensure consistent, high-quality deliverables and actionable insights.
- Collaborate in a remote, engaged team environment using digital documentation tools.
Preferred Qualifications
- 2+ years of experience in visual media, photography, video editing, graphic design, visual quality assurance, AI content evaluation, or related digital media roles.
- Demonstrated expertise in image composition, color theory, lighting analysis, human anatomy evaluation, and visual storytelling.
- Proven ability to assess generative AI outputs and recognize patterns, anomalies, and artifacts.
- Exceptional attention to detail, critical thinking, and analytical writing skills.
- Experience with Google Sheets, Notion, Figma, or similar collaboration and documentation tools.
- Native English speaker based in the United States, Canada, or UK, able to contribute during Pacific Time business hours (Monday–Friday, 9:00 AM–5:00 PM PT).
- Professional, reliable, and proactive communicator who values both written and verbal clarity and is comfortable working in a collaborative, feedback-driven environment.
This is a unique opportunity to have a direct impact on the evolution of frontier AI technology, ensuring generative models are visually sophisticated, accurate, and aligned with creative and technical standards. Your expertise will help set the benchmark for quality in next-generation AI visual media.
