Position Summary:
As a Quality Lead, you will be responsible for driving linguistic quality excellence across multilingual localization programs. You will oversee quality frameworks, linguistic evaluation processes, vendor performance, and continuous improvement initiatives to ensure client expectations are consistently met.
This role requires a strong understanding of localization workflows, linguistic quality assurance (LQA), quality metrics, and stakeholder management. You will work closely with linguists, project managers, vendor managers, and client stakeholders to identify quality risks, implement corrective actions, and improve overall delivery performance.
You will collaborate closely with our clients and need to be comfortable in a client-facing role. The projects are complex and involve a high level of customer engagement, therefore the Quality Lead will act as a strategic quality partner supporting Project Managers during regular client meetings and business reviews.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead linguistic quality programs across multiple localization accounts and language combinations.
- Define, implement, and continuously improve quality processes, standards, and KPIs.
- Conduct linguistic quality reviews and analyze quality trends across projects, languages, and vendors.
- Manage root cause analysis (RCA), corrective and preventive actions (CAPA), and quality improvement programs (QIP).
- Monitor vendor performance and collaborate with Vendor Management teams to drive quality improvements.
- Support onboarding, training, calibration sessions, and quality alignment activities for linguists and suppliers.
- Partner with Project Managers to identify quality risks and develop mitigation plans.
- Analyze quality metrics and provide actionable recommendations to internal teams and clients.
- Drive consistency across linguistic evaluations, quality scoring methodologies, and reporting practices.
- Participate in client meetings, business reviews, and quality governance discussions.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for quality-related escalations and improvement initiatives.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Linguistics, Translation, Languages, Localization, or a related field.
- 5+ years of experience in Localization QA, Linguistic Quality Assurance, Quality Management, or Localization Operations.
- Strong understanding of localization workflows, translation processes, and multilingual content management.
- Experience working with LQA frameworks, quality metrics, and vendor performance management.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Experience conducting RCA and driving continuous improvement initiatives.
- Strong stakeholder management and client-facing experience.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, multilingual, and global environment.
- Fluency in English; additional languages are considered a strong advantage.
Preferred Skills:
- Experience managing quality programs for enterprise localization clients.
- Knowledge of localization technologies, CAT tools, and translation management systems.
- Experience working with global vendor networks and distributed teams.
- Familiarity with ISO quality standards and localization best practices.
- Strong presentation and communication skills.
- Previous leadership or people management experience.
