UX Designer Cover Letter Example

I have been a ClearVault user for eight months, and the experience that keeps me coming back is the transaction history view — it is the only fintech product I have used that does not make me feel like I need a finance degree to understand my own money. I want to help you build more of that.

At my current role I led a redesign of the onboarding flow that reduced time-to-first-value from 14 minutes to 4 minutes — a number that drove a 22% lift in day-30 retention. The research behind it was 28 moderated user sessions across three countries using Lookback. The key insight was not that the steps were too long, but that users did not know why each step was necessary. Adding context cues, not removing steps, solved it.

I also built the design system that now supports four designers and twelve engineers at the company — 120 components in Figma with usage guidelines written specifically for engineers who are not designers. Getting documentation right mattered more than getting the components right, and that is usually where design systems break down.
