What is Pula?

Pula designs agricultural insurance and digital products for smallholder farmers, with governments, insurers, development partners and agribusinesses. Its products include area yield index insurance against climate events, and it builds national farmer registries for governments. It reports reaching 24 million farmers across Africa, and it was named a 2026 Earthshot Prize finalist. It has offices in Nairobi, Addis Ababa and Lusaka.
