Pila8
AI data annotation platform offering audio recording, LLM evaluation, and red-teaming tasks for remote workers.
What is Pila8?
Pila8 is a Y Combinator-backed AI data annotation platform that provides remote, task-based work opportunities. The platform focuses primarily on audio data collection, where users record short voice clips based on prompts to help train AI models to understand diverse accents, dialects, and tonalities. Beyond audio tasks, Pila8 also offers LLM red-teaming and evaluation projects, where contributors probe the behavior of large language models, report vulnerabilities, and assess AI-generated responses for accuracy, reasoning quality, clarity, and adherence to guidelines. The platform operates on a points-based compensation system where 10 points equal $1.00, with bonuses awarded for consistent work streaks and contributions in multiple languages. Founded in 2025 and based in the United States, Pila8 allows users to begin working shortly after sign-up without lengthy application approval processes.
Qualifications
No formal education or professional experience is required to get started on Pila8. Users need a device capable of audio recording (smartphone, laptop, or desktop with a microphone) and a stable internet connection. Clear pronunciation and the ability to follow recording prompts accurately are essential for audio tasks. For LLM red-teaming and evaluation tasks, strong reading comprehension, critical thinking skills, and attention to detail are needed to assess AI-generated content for accuracy and quality. Fluency in English is expected for most tasks, though additional language skills are highly valued and can unlock more earning opportunities. Contributors must be consistent and follow platform guidelines carefully to maintain quality standards.

Pila 8 Honest Review
I joined this pila8.com BeSimple AI around January 2026. The project involves reading scripts in English. I was limited to 5 audios a day, making it very difficult to even earn $10 a day. According to me, it's not worth it unless they change the mode of work to be consistent. I earned about 250 credits, which was around $25 that I was paid.
