Qualifications

For entry-level data annotator roles, candidates with 0–1 years of experience or even freshers are considered, as iMerit invests in training new recruits. Candidates should be tech-savvy with a passion for technology and AI, have strong attention to detail for accurately labeling data, and possess good communication skills. Basic computer operation and internet research skills are needed. STEM backgrounds (B.E./B.Tech in Computer Science) are preferred but not always required. For specialized roles through the iMerit Scholars program, domain expertise is essential along with a basic understanding of AI/ML concepts like model training and data annotation. Experience collaborating with technical or engineering teams on data-driven projects is a plus. Excellent verbal and written communication skills and the ability to work in a remote, cross-cultural environment are valued. Linguistic annotator positions require native-level fluency in the target language and excellent English. All roles require the ability to meet weekly and monthly targets in a fast-paced environment.
