Role Overview
Mercor is hiring Arabic Music Experts to support a frontier generative-music AI lab. This remote part-time opportunity is designed for musicians, composers, transcribers, engineers, and music educators with strong musical ability and Arabic language expertise.
The role focuses on evaluating and improving AI-generated music by applying expert listening skills, musical knowledge, and Arabic lyric understanding.
Key Responsibilities
Music Evaluation & Analysis
- Evaluate AI-generated music outputs for quality, accuracy, and musicality.
- Assess melody, rhythm, harmony, tempo, and overall musical structure.
- Provide expert feedback to improve generative music models.
Audio Transcription & Musical Understanding
- Transcribe melodies by ear with accurate pitch and rhythm.
- Identify musical elements including:
- Key signatures
- Tempo
- Time signatures
- Melodic structure
- Analyze generated compositions and audio content.
Arabic Language Evaluation
- Review Arabic sung lyrics for accuracy and clarity.
- Understand Arabic accents, pronunciation variations, and unclear vocal delivery.
- Evaluate lyrics across different Arabic singing styles and performances.
Ideal Qualifications
- Formal musical training or professional music experience.

- Strong ear training and ability to identify pitch and rhythm accurately.
