Role Overview
Mercor is hiring Swedish Music Experts to support a frontier generative-music AI lab. In this remote part-time role, you will apply your musical expertise and Swedish language skills to help train and improve advanced AI music systems.
The role focuses on evaluating and transcribing musical content, including identifying melodies, rhythm, pitch, tempo, key, time signature, and understanding Swedish sung lyrics.
Key Responsibilities
Musical Analysis & Transcription
- Listen to music and accurately transcribe melodies by ear.

Swedish Lyrics Evaluation
- Review and handle Swedish sung lyrics.
- Recognize:

AI Music Evaluation
- Help evaluate and improve generative music AI outputs.
- Provide expert feedback based on musical quality and accuracy.
- Support the creation of high-quality training data.
Ideal Qualifications
- Formal musical training or professional music experience.
- Background as one or more of the following:
- Musician
- Composer
- Music transcriber
- Audio engineer
- Music teacher
- Strong musical ear and ability to identify notes, rhythm, and musical details.
- Fluent Swedish language skills for accurate lyric evaluation.
Compensation
- $50–$70/hour
