This role sits within a high-visibility defense acquisition environment, supporting mission-critical IT procurement activities for government programs. You will serve as a key liaison between technical stakeholders, program offices, and approval authorities, ensuring acquisition requests are properly structured, compliant, and efficiently processed. The position involves managing procurement workflows for IT hardware, software, and services while ensuring alignment with federal acquisition regulations and Navy-specific compliance frameworks. You will contribute to the preparation of acquisition packages, documentation, and reporting that directly support operational readiness. Accountabilities:

  • Serve as a primary point of contact for IT procurement approvals, coordinating requests through systems such as NAV-IDAS and relevant CIO approval channels.
  • Develop, prepare, and manage acquisition packages and Procurement Data Packages (PDPs) to support IT hardware, software, and services acquisitions.
  • Interface with stakeholders across departments to gather requirements, validate compliance, and ensure procurement requests meet applicable policies and regulations.
  • Track and manage acquisition workflows, ensuring timely resolution of rejections, inquiries, and documentation issues.
  • Support the preparation of NAVSEA/NAVSUP acquisition reports and maintain accurate records and document libraries.
  • Conduct analysis of procurement requests, ensuring alignment with FAR, DFARS, NMCARS, and internal acquisition guidelines.
  • Assist in requirements development, justification write-ups, and compliance validation for IT procurement initiatives.
  • Provide recommendations to improve acquisition efficiency, quality, and process consistency across procurement cycles.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in a technical or related field, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • 2–5+ years of experience in Department of Defense (DoD) acquisition, procurement, or acquisition management support roles.
  • Active Secret clearance is required.
  • Strong working knowledge of federal acquisition regulations including FAR, DFARS, and related compliance frameworks.
  • Experience supporting IT procurement processes within government or defense environments.
  • Familiarity with NAVSEA or Navy acquisition systems and tools such as NAV-IDAS is highly desirable.
  • Strong organizational, analytical, and documentation skills with attention to detail in compliance-driven environments.
  • Excellent communication and coordination skills for working across technical and administrative stakeholders.
  • Ability to manage multiple concurrent acquisition workflows and maintain accurate tracking and reporting.
