Job description

Network & Infrastructure Security Analyst (AI Training)

About the Role

We're partnering with the world's leading AI research labs to build the next generation of AI-driven security systems — and we need experienced security practitioners to make it happen.

As a Network & Infrastructure Security Analyst, you'll apply your hands-on expertise to analyze, classify, and evaluate real-world network and endpoint security scenarios. Your insights will directly shape how AI understands threats, identifies misconfigurations, and reasons about security failures in enterprise environments.

This is a rare opportunity to do meaningful, high-impact work at the intersection of cybersecurity and frontier AI — on your own schedule, from anywhere.

  • Organization: Alignerr
  • Type: Hourly Contract
  • Location: Remote
  • Commitment: 10–40 hours/week

What You'll Do

  • Analyze network, endpoint, and email security scenarios across modern enterprise environments
  • Review firewall, EDR, and infrastructure security cases to determine root causes and failure points
  • Classify incidents, misconfigurations, and control failures based on realistic operational data
  • Create, label, and validate security datasets used to train and evaluate AI systems
  • Clearly articulate security issues, their business impact, and recommended remediations

Who You Are

  • 2+ years of hands-on experience in network, infrastructure, or endpoint security
  • Solid familiarity with firewalls, EDR platforms, email security, IAM, SIEMs, and enterprise tooling
  • Strong understanding of how organizations deploy and operate security controls in production
  • Able to explain complex security concepts clearly and concisely in writing
  • Detail-oriented, self-motivated, and comfortable working independently

Nice to Have

  • Experience with threat hunting, incident response, or red/blue team operations
  • Familiarity with security frameworks such as MITRE ATT&CK, NIST, or CIS Controls
  • Background in security engineering, architecture, or consulting
  • Prior experience with AI or data labeling projects

Why Join Us

  • Work directly on cutting-edge AI projects with top-tier research labs
  • Fully remote and flexible — work on your own schedule
  • Freelance autonomy with meaningful, intellectually stimulating work
  • Contribute to AI systems that make real-world security smarter and more resilient
  • Potential for ongoing work and contract extension
