Join the CrowdGen Team — Arabic Voice Recording Project

Join the CrowdGen team as an Independent Contractor and take part in our project, a short voice recording challenge designed to help improve speech recognition technology.

In this activity, participants will read and record short, scripted commands written in their native Arabic language using the Appen Mobile App. It's a simple, guided activity that can be completed entirely on your smartphone.

Most participants complete the full recording session in approximately 1 to 2 hours, including time to review the provided guidelines.

Requirements

-Must be a native speaker of Arabic MSA or Arabic Gulf

-Must be residing in Saudi Arabia, Qatar, or the UAE, and your CrowdGen account must be registered to one of these countries

-18 years old or above

-Smartphone compatible with the Appen Mobile App (Android or iPhone) with a working microphone

-Quiet environment with minimal background noise

-Stable internet connection for uploading recordings

-Ability to follow recording instructions carefully

Payment Details

-Earn a set rate upon full completion of a recording session (500 prompts) with at least 90% of recordings passing quality review

-If assigned fewer than 500 prompts, payment will be proportional — but the 90% quality threshold still applies

-Incomplete sessions will not be compensated

-Sessions with a QA score below 90% are considered rejected and will not be compensated

Getting started is quick and straightforward:

-Review and complete the consent form

-Complete the demographic survey

-Verify your identity

-Start recording through the Appen Mobile App

Participation works on a first-come, first-served basis — applying early increases your chances of securing a spot.

Demographic quotas apply. If your group is already full, you may not receive a task assignment, but you may be invited to other available projects.
