About the Role
This is a remote, hourly contractor role for experienced Venture Capital professionals contributing to an AI research project with a leading foundational model laboratory.
You will leverage your venture capital expertise to help train and evaluate frontier AI systems on real-world investment workflows, including market analysis, investment evaluation, deal sourcing, board reporting, and venture decision-making processes.
Pay: $130/hr | Commitment: Minimum 10 hours/week | Minimum Duration: 4 weeks
Key Responsibilities
Venture Capital Analysis
- Apply venture capital expertise to evaluate investment opportunities and business models
- Analyze startup markets, competitive landscapes, and growth opportunities
- Assess investment risks and potential returns
Investment Research
- Conduct and review market sizing analyses, TAM assessments, industry research, competitive intelligence, and startup evaluations
Investment Documentation
- Create and review investment memos, analysis summaries, investment recommendations, due diligence materials, and board presentation materials
Deal Sourcing & Evaluation
- Support workflows related to deal sourcing, startup screening, opportunity qualification, and investment pipeline management
AI Training & Evaluation
- Contribute domain expertise to improve AI reasoning in venture capital scenarios
- Help develop high-quality outputs and evaluations for AI systems
- Support research initiatives focused on investment and business analysis
Required Qualifications
- Minimum 2 years of professional venture capital experience at established VC firms
- Expertise in at least one of: board materials creation, market sizing, TAM analysis, investment memos, investment analysis, or deal sourcing
- Strong analytical and business reasoning abilities
- Excellent written communication and ability to work independently
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience evaluating early-stage or growth-stage startups
- Background in startup ecosystems, technology investing, financial modeling, due diligence, or portfolio management
- Experience creating investment committee materials
