About the Role
Mercor is recruiting Finance Professionals based in Spain and Latin America to support a research project with a leading frontier AI laboratory. Selected experts will leverage their finance expertise to help train, evaluate, and improve advanced AI models in financial reasoning, analysis, and decision-making.
This opportunity is intended for professionals with experience in top-tier financial institutions, including hedge funds, private equity firms, investment banks, corporate finance organizations, venture capital firms, and equity research teams.
Pay: $60–$100/hr | Commitment: Minimum 10 hours/week | Minimum Duration: 4 weeks
Key Responsibilities
Financial Domain Expertise
- Apply professional finance knowledge to AI research and evaluation tasks
- Help improve model performance on financial reasoning problems
- Review and assess AI-generated financial content
- Contribute expert insights to financial training datasets
Financial Analysis & Evaluation
- Analyze investment opportunities and financial scenarios
- Review valuation approaches and financial assumptions
- Evaluate financial models and analytical frameworks
- Assess AI outputs for correctness and professional quality
AI Training & Benchmarking
- Support the creation and refinement of finance-focused evaluation tasks
- Identify weaknesses and inaccuracies in model outputs
- Provide structured feedback to improve financial reasoning capabilities
Investment & Corporate Finance Review
Evaluate concepts related to corporate finance, investment banking, private equity, venture capital, equity research, and capital markets.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum 2 years of experience at leading firms in hedge funds, private equity, investment banking, equity research, corporate finance, or venture capital
- Strong knowledge of financial analysis, investment evaluation, corporate finance, capital markets, valuation, financial modeling, and strategic finance
- Analytical thinking, financial judgment, problem solving, and written communication skills
- Ability to work independently in a remote environment
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience evaluating investments and transactions
- Exposure to M&A, fundraising, or strategic finance projects
- Interest in AI and emerging technologies
