Job description

Mercor is seeking Microsoft Word experts to work as Artifact Experts on a document conversion and refinement project supporting one of the world’s leading AI companies.

This role focuses on converting, recreating, and polishing professional documents with high attention to formatting accuracy, structural consistency, and document fidelity.

Contributors will work on modernizing and improving complex Word documents while preserving layout quality and professional presentation standards.

Key Responsibilities

  • Convert legacy documents into polished, modern Microsoft Word files

  • Recreate and preserve:

    • Complex layouts
    • Tables
    • References
    • Inline objects
    • Structured formatting

  • Apply consistent:

    • Styles
    • Templates
    • Section formatting
    • Document structures

  • Annotate and improve documents for:

    • Clarity
    • Professional presentation
    • Structural consistency
    • Readability

  • Ensure high levels of formatting precision and document fidelity across all deliverables

Required Qualifications

  • Expert-level proficiency in Microsoft Word including:

    • Styles
    • Templates
    • Sections
    • Tables
    • References
    • Track Changes

  • Strong:

    • Document formatting skills
    • Professional writing skills
    • Layout and presentation abilities

  • Excellent written English

  • Strong attention to detail and formatting consistency

  • Ability to work independently on a flexible schedule

Compensation

  • $20–40/hour
  • Weekly payments through Stripe or Wise
