Role Overview
We are seeking English language specialists to help train and evaluate advanced AI language models.
In this role, you will challenge AI systems across linguistic domains such as grammar, syntax, semantics, and pragmatics, helping improve model reasoning and language understanding.
Key Responsibilities
- Evaluate AI-generated responses for linguistic accuracy and reasoning
- Test models on:
- Grammar and syntax
- Semantics and pragmatics
- Idiomatic expressions
- Pronunciation and phonetics
- Identify and document failure modes in model outputs
- Provide structured feedback and reproducible error cases
- Suggest improvements to prompts and evaluation frameworks
Requirements
- Strong expertise in English linguistics or language analysis
- Background in:
- Linguistics
- English language
- Language teaching or research
- Ability to clearly explain reasoning step-by-step
- High attention to detail and analytical thinking
Preferred
- Advanced degree (BA, MA, PhD) in English or Linguistics
- Teaching, publishing, or research experience
- Experience in language analysis or evaluation
Compensation
- $8 – $65 per hour (based on experience and location)
