Accountabilities:
The Account Manager - Coffee will lead business development and account growth initiatives, building strong customer relationships while identifying opportunities to expand market presence and revenue.
- Develop and manage relationships with category managers, buyers, industry influencers, and strategic customers to generate new business opportunities.
- Build and maintain a strong sales pipeline focused on coffee and beverage growth opportunities across targeted US markets.
- Expand market presence within channels including convenience, traditional roasting, restaurants, and foodservice segments.
- Manage existing customer accounts to increase revenue, profitability, customer satisfaction, and long-term partnership value.
- Collaborate with sales, marketing, research and development, and operations teams to support customer solutions and commercial initiatives.
- Analyze market trends, competitive activity, and industry developments to identify growth opportunities and develop action plans.
- Support the creation, execution, and improvement of sales strategies and category growth plans.
- Coordinate proposal development and sales processes with internal stakeholders and leadership teams.
- Attend trade shows, industry events, and networking opportunities to strengthen market knowledge and customer relationships.
- Provide leadership updates on sales performance, pipeline activity, business development progress, and key performance indicators.
- Develop, lead, and coach foodservice and national account management activities to support commercial growth.
Requirements:
The ideal candidate is a commercially driven sales professional with strong coffee industry experience, established relationships, and the ability to independently drive business growth.
- Bachelor’s degree required.
- Minimum 5 years of commercial experience within the liquid coffee industry.
- Proven experience developing and growing beverage products, including white-label or customized beverage solutions.
- Strong relationships with purchasing teams, category managers, OCS companies, and key industry stakeholders.
- Existing connections with national or regional retail, restaurant, or foodservice chains are highly valued.
- Demonstrated success in business development, account management, and closing commercial opportunities.
- Strong strategic thinking, negotiation, communication, and relationship-building skills.
- Ability to work independently, manage priorities, and take ownership of business growth initiatives.
- Results-oriented mindset with strong analytical and organizational abilities.
- Willingness and ability to travel up to 70% to support customers, events, and business development activities.
