Role Overview
A leading AI laboratory is recruiting accomplished mathematicians to help develop the next generation of AI systems for scientific and mathematical reasoning.
This opportunity is intended for research-level mathematicians whose work extends beyond textbook mathematics into active research across pure and applied mathematics. Contributors will help build and evaluate frontier AI models capable of advanced mathematical reasoning, proof construction, theorem verification, and research-level problem solving.

Key Responsibilities
Review Mathematical Research
- Review mathematics research papers for:
- Correctness
- Novelty
- Mathematical rigor
Create Advanced Mathematics Tasks
- Author and review challenging mathematics problems for training and evaluating frontier AI models.
- Cover research-level topics rather than standard textbook exercises.
Evaluate AI Mathematical Reasoning
Assess AI-generated outputs involving:
- Proof construction
- Proof verification
- Mathematical problem solving
- Formalization
- Conjecture exploration
Identify Model Failures
Detect subtle mathematical errors such as:
- Unjustified proof steps
- Incorrect assumptions
- Misapplied hypotheses
- Unsupported lemmas
- Plausible but invalid proofs
Collaborate with Experts
- Work closely with senior mathematicians and AI researchers.
- Help improve the quality of mathematical datasets and evaluation standards.
