Data-Video Generalist (Europe-based)

Role Overview

micro1 is seeking Europe-based Data-Video Generalists to help collect high-quality motion and video data used to train next-generation AI systems. In this remote contractor role, you will capture synchronized smartphone sensor and video recordings while performing specified physical tasks, following detailed technical protocols to ensure high-quality training data.

No prior AI experience is required. The focus is on accurately following instructions and producing consistent, high-quality recordings.

Key Responsibilities

Motion Data Collection

• Capture precise motion data using your smartphone's built-in sensors (IMU).
• Perform assigned physical and household movement tasks while recording.
• Ensure recordings meet project specifications and quality standards.

Video Recording

• Record synchronized first-person video using a head-mounted camera setup.
• Ensure both hands remain visible throughout recordings.
• Produce clear, stable, and properly labeled videos.

Quality Assurance

• Follow detailed technical instructions and standardized recording procedures.
• Maintain consistency across recording sessions.
• Verify recordings satisfy quality, labeling, and determinism requirements before submission.

Collaboration

• Communicate with project coordinators to clarify instructions.
• Provide feedback on data collection workflows.
• Meet project milestones and weekly submission requirements.

• Comfortable following standardized technical procedures.
• Good written and verbal communication skills.
• Digital literacy and familiarity with smartphones.
• Physical ability to safely perform repetitive movement tasks.

Compensation

• $10 per hour (output-based; payment is based on approved recordings)

• Minimum contribution of approximately 10 hours of approved recordings per week
• Fast onboarding with expected start within approximately 24 hours after onboarding

• Head strap or wearable camera mount capable of recording first-person video while keeping both hands visible.
