Financial Analyst (Contract)
Please note that this is a contract role providing services to Microsoft through external staffing partners of Allegis Global Solutions. If you are selected for this role, you will be employed by AGS and will not be an employee of Microsoft.
Summary:
This role sits at the intersection of financial analysis, program management, and business operations. The successful candidate will support financial operations and program execution by partnering cross-functionally to manage workflows, analyze data, and ensure timely delivery of key initiatives.
This is a highly collaborative, execution-focused role requiring strong communication, stakeholder management, and the ability to independently drive work forward in a fast-paced environment. The position will also play a critical role in maintaining continuity of existing processes as part of a backfill transition.
Job Responsibilities:
Key Responsibilities
Financial Analysis & Reporting
- Analyze and interpret financial data to support business operations, including budget tracking, forecasting support, and performance reporting
- Build and maintain reports using Excel and Power BI
- Identify trends, risks, and opportunities within financial data and provide actionable insights
- Support ongoing financial operations processes and reporting cadences
Program & Project Management
- Own and drive execution of cross-functional workstreams, ensuring alignment across stakeholders and timely delivery of milestones
- Track deliverables, manage dependencies, and proactively resolve blockers
- Support program planning, execution, and follow-through on key initiatives
Stakeholder Management & Communication
- Act as a central point of coordination across finance, sales, and operations teams
- Communicate project status, risks, and updates to stakeholders clearly and proactively
- Manage stakeholder expectations and ensure alignment on priorities and timelines
Operational Execution & Process Improvement
- Maintain and execute established workflows to ensure continuity of business operations
- Identify process gaps and inefficiencies; recommend and implement improvements
- Drive operational excellence by improving coordination, tracking, and reporting mechanisms
Business Support
- Partner with internal teams (e.g., Sales) to support budget management and financial planning activities
- Assist with presentation development, reporting deliverables, and leadership updates.
Requirements:
Required
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, or related field
- 5–7 years of experience in financial analysis, program/project management, or business operations
- Experience managing cross-functional workstreams and stakeholders independently
- Strong proficiency in Excel (data analysis, reporting); Power BI is a plus
- Foundational understanding of financial concepts (budgeting, forecasting, reporting)
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Proven ability to work proactively, manage multiple priorities, and drive execution
Preferred
- Experience in a large, matrixed organization or technology environment
- Exposure to financial operations, sales operations, or business operations
- Familiarity with Microsoft tools and ecosystems
Additional Details:

- Pay Range*: $42.50 - 48
- Weekly Schedule: 40 hours
