Role Overview
Mercor is partnering with a leading AI research laboratory to enhance next-generation artificial intelligence systems focused on revenue cycle intelligence, financial analytics, and healthcare decision-support.
This role is designed for experienced revenue cycle analytics and reporting leaders who specialize in transforming operational data into actionable insights across the full healthcare revenue cycle.
You will evaluate AI-generated analytics outputs, KPI dashboards, forecasting models, and decision-support recommendations to ensure they are accurate, consistent, and operationally meaningful in real-world healthcare finance environments.
Responsibilities
Revenue Cycle Analytics Leadership
- Lead RCM analytics, reporting, and decision-support functions
- Support data-driven performance improvement across the full revenue cycle: patient access, coding and CDI, billing and claims, denials management, accounts receivable and collections
AI Output Evaluation
- Evaluate AI-generated outputs including KPI dashboards, revenue cycle reports, financial modeling outputs, and forecasting recommendations
- Validate data accuracy, metric definitions, analytical consistency, and business logic correctness
Reporting & Dashboard Development
- Develop and maintain enterprise RCM reporting frameworks
- Build and interpret dashboards, scorecards, and trend analyses
- Ensure consistency across reporting definitions and data sources
Data Analysis & Decision Support
- Perform root cause analysis on revenue cycle performance variances
- Translate complex datasets into actionable operational insights
- Support executive decision-making through structured analytics
Forecasting & Financial Modeling
- Support revenue cycle forecasting and budget modeling
- Analyze net revenue realization and financial performance trends
- Identify risks and opportunities in revenue cycle performance
Data Governance
- Maintain data definitions, data quality standards, and reporting consistency frameworks
- Identify and resolve data quality issues in analytics pipelines
AI Training & Annotation
- Annotate AI-generated analytics outputs and provide structured feedback to improve model performance
- Identify analytical errors, inconsistencies, and misleading insights
Requirements
Experience
- 5+ years in revenue cycle analytics, healthcare financial reporting, or decision-support/BI functions
- Minimum 2 years in a leadership role
Technical Expertise
- Revenue cycle KPIs and financial metrics
- BI tools (Tableau, Power BI, or equivalent)
- SQL-based data analysis
- Healthcare analytics platforms
Domain Knowledge
- End-to-end revenue cycle understanding: patient access, coding, billing, denials, accounts receivable, collections
- Healthcare financial performance measurement
Analytical Skills
- Financial modeling and forecasting
- Root cause analysis of operational performance
- Identification of data inconsistencies
Preferred Qualifications
- HFMA CRCR, CHFP, or equivalent certification
- Experience with predictive analytics or revenue forecasting models
- Background in health systems or large physician enterprise analytics
- Experience with BI platform implementation or migration projects
