AI / Emerging Tech Security Analyst About the Role What if your security instincts could directly shape how the world's most advanced AI systems defend themselves against misuse, manipulation, and attack?
Offensive Security Analyst (Structured / Non-Exploit)
Job description
Offensive Security Analyst (Structured / Non-Exploit)
About the Role
What if your instinct for thinking like an attacker could directly shape how AI understands cybersecurity threats? We're looking for Offensive Security Analysts to analyze real-world attack scenarios, model adversary behavior, and help build the AI systems that will define the next generation of security intelligence.
This role is focused on structured adversarial reasoning — not exploit development. You'll be working with realistic intrusion scenarios, kill chains, and threat models to help train and evaluate cutting-edge AI systems. No writing shellcode. Just deep, methodical thinking about how attacks unfold, where defenses break down, and how risk propagates through modern environments.
- Organization: Alignerr
- Type: Hourly Contract
- Location: Remote
- Commitment: 10–40 hours/week
What You'll Do
- Analyze attack paths, kill chains, and adversary tactics across realistic, production-style environments
- Identify weaknesses, misconfigurations, and defensive gaps in simulated or described systems
- Review red-team scenarios and intrusion narratives for technical accuracy and completeness
- Generate, label, and validate adversarial reasoning data used to train and evaluate AI models
- Clearly articulate attack chains, potential impact, and security tradeoffs in structured formats
- Work independently and asynchronously — fully on your own schedule
Who You Are
- 2+ years of hands-on experience in penetration testing, red team operations, or a blue-team role with deep attack knowledge
- You understand how real attacks unfold in production environments — not just in theory
- Able to break down complex attack chains and explain them clearly and precisely
- Comfortable working through ambiguous scenarios and applying structured analytical thinking
- Detail-oriented and consistent — you notice what others miss
Nice to Have
- Experience with threat modeling frameworks such as MITRE ATT&CK, STRIDE, or similar
- Background in threat intelligence, incident response, or security architecture
- Familiarity with cloud, network, or application-layer attack surfaces
- Prior experience with AI tools, data labeling, or security research
Why Join Us
- Work directly on frontier AI systems alongside leading research labs
- Fully remote and flexible — work when and where it suits you
- Freelance autonomy with the structure of meaningful, task-based work
- Apply your offensive security expertise to a problem space that genuinely matters
- Potential for ongoing work and contract extension as new projects launch
