AI / Emerging Tech Security Analyst About the Role What if your security instincts could directly shape how the world's most advanced AI systems defend themselves against misuse, manipulation, and attack?
Offensive Security Analyst (Structured / Non-Exploit)
Job description
Offensive Security Analyst (Structured / Non-Exploit)
About the Role
What if your deep understanding of how real attacks unfold could directly shape how AI reasons about cybersecurity threats? We're looking for experienced offensive security professionals to analyze adversarial behavior, map attack paths, and help build the AI systems that will define how the industry thinks about risk.
This is not an exploit development role. It's structured adversarial reasoning — the kind of high-value thinking that comes from years of hands-on red team, pentest, or blue team experience. No writing shellcode. No CVE chasing. Just sharp, methodical analysis of how threats move, defenses fail, and risk propagates across modern environments.
Fully remote and flexible, this contract role is ideal for security professionals who want to put their expertise to work on something genuinely new.
- Organization: Alignerr
- Type: Hourly Contract
- Location: Remote
- Commitment: 10–40 hours/week
What You'll Do
- Analyze attack paths, kill chains, and adversary strategies across realistic production environments
- Identify and classify weaknesses, misconfigurations, and defensive gaps
- Review red-team style scenarios and intrusion narratives for accuracy and depth
- Generate, label, and validate adversarial reasoning data used to train and evaluate frontier AI systems
- Clearly articulate attack chains, potential impact, and security tradeoffs in structured formats
- Work independently and asynchronously on task-based assignments
Who You Are
- 2+ years of hands-on experience in pentesting, red teaming, or a blue-team role with deep attack knowledge
- You understand how real attacks unfold in production environments — not just in theory
- You can break down complex attack chains and communicate them clearly and precisely
- Detail-oriented and systematic — you think in terms of sequences, dependencies, and impact
- Comfortable working independently without close supervision
Nice to Have
- Familiarity with MITRE ATT&CK, kill chain frameworks, or threat modeling methodologies
- Experience writing post-incident reports, red team findings, or threat intelligence
- Background in cloud security, Active Directory environments, or enterprise network architecture
- Prior exposure to AI tools, data labeling, or security research
Why Join Us
- Work directly on frontier AI systems alongside leading research labs
- Fully remote and flexible — structure your hours around your life
- Freelance autonomy with the substance of meaningful, high-impact work
- Apply your real-world security expertise to a domain that is genuinely shaping the future
- Potential for ongoing work and contract extension as new projects launch
